The 3.0 liter B58.2 turbo engine of the specified BMW & Toyota models is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. The cooling process of the charge air is therefore carried out by a water-cooled intercooler, which is integrated directly into the intake manifold.
The WAGNERTUNING intake manifold with integrated intercooler has a new performance network, which was specially developed for the high demands and tight space conditions of the B58.2 engine and offers 128% more external network volume compared to the original intercooler. The ratio used between the inner and outer cooling surface generates maximum heat transfer and at the same time enables the best possible internal air flow. With the help of CFD simulations, the end boxes, which are CNC-milled from solid material, were designed for optimal air flow conditions. The result is excellent cooling properties with the lowest back pressure. This makes this kit suitable for racing too. Optimal cooling of the charged air with a significant increase in performance!
All WAGNERTUNING intercoolers are equipped with a heat-conducting anti-corrosion coating to ensure a long-lasting cooling effect. The installation of the system is also straightforward and plug & play with the help of our installation instructions.
