With ALL factory functions - unfold at the touch of a button.
This means you do not need to install a universal trailer hitch from the accessories.
After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here carries out the complete automatic activation of the trailer hitch with the help of the innovative KECODI that is already pre-configured for you.
No further activations or even a visit to your VW partner's workshop are necessary; the KECODI completes the complete activation of the trailer hitch in just a few seconds.

This retrofit package is suitable for ALL VW Golf 8 CD models of all years of manufacture, all body styles (Kurhheck / Variant / alltrack) and all equipment variants (including GTI, R, hybrid, etc.) for retrofitting the original pivoting trailer hitch.
The supplied cable set connects the vehicle to the trailer hitch control unit, to the original button and to the trailer hitch itself - no additional cables are required.
The KECODI coding interface, which is also always included, takes care of the COMPLETE automatic activation.
The original swiveling trailer coupling extends when the new button is pressed (this is located in the left trunk panel on short-tail models and in the right trunk panel on Variant models).
This makes it possible to easily retrofit the original swiveling VW Golf 8 tow bar.
